The twenty minutes between dressed and ready.

Cueva is a soft face compression strap — the kind usually sold as a V-line mask or chin strap. You wear it while you finish getting ready.

Take it off, and the jawline looks sharper and less puffy for the next couple of hours.

Temporary. About as long as the event — which tonight is exactly as long as you need.

Start it while you finish your face

Twenty minutes. Then you go.

20:00

Put it on, run the timer, take it off when it ends. Twenty minutes before you leave — not the night before.

How it works

Three steps. Twenty minutes.

01 — On

While you're getting ready

Under the chin, over the crown, Velcro at the top. Snug, not tight — you should be able to slide a finger under the strap at your ear.

02 — Wait

Do everything else

Finish your makeup. Find the other earring. Answer the group chat. It stays put and doesn't get in the way.

03 — Off

Twenty minutes before you leave

That's when it looks best. Not the night before. Timing is most of it, and it's the one thing people get wrong.

When you'd use it

For the hour before you walk out the door.

The forty minutes before a wedding, six people in one room, someone already crying. The morning of a shoot. The hour before a date you've been thinking about all week. The hotel bathroom at 6:40 with call time at 7.

You're not trying to look like someone else. You're trying to look like you, on a good day, after eight hours of sleep you did not get.

That's a small thing to want. This is a small thing that helps.

The honest part

What this does, and what it doesn't.

We'd rather you buy this knowing exactly what it is.

What it does
What it doesn't do
Temporarily compresses soft tissue along the jaw and cheeks
Burn or reduce fat
Moves fluid out of the area, so it looks less puffy
Change bone structure or muscle
Gives a more defined line for roughly one to three hours
Produce permanent or cumulative change
Packs flat and works in any private twenty minutes
Treat snoring, sleep apnea, or any medical condition
Feels good — the pressure is the point
Replace anything a doctor would do

There are no clinical studies showing lasting cosmetic results from compression straps. Not for ours, not for anyone's. What exists is a real, short-lived, physical effect.

That's what we sell. If a temporary effect isn't worth $29.99 to you, that's a reasonable conclusion — and we'd rather you skip it than be annoyed with us in a week.

Why it works

It's compression. That's the whole mechanism.

Gentle pressure along the jaw and cheeks moves fluid out of the area. Less fluid, cleaner line. That's the depuffing effect, and it's the only thing happening.

It's the same principle as the compression garments used after facial procedures. Cueva isn't a medical device and we don't sell it as one — but that's where the idea comes from.

The details

Small, quiet, well made.

It fits in your clutch

Folds down smaller than a pair of sunglasses. Hotel bathroom, back seat, green room, the parking lot before you walk in — anywhere you get twenty private minutes.

Getting ready is better with someone

The Pair exists because nobody gets ready alone before the big ones. One for you, one for whoever's doing her eyeliner next to you.

You forget it's on

Brushed elastic knit, Velcro crown closure, wide adjustable range. No hard seams over the ears, and no ridged pressure marks.

It works the same for everyone

Same strap, same fit range, two colourways. Grooms use it. So do best men, realtors before listing photos, and anyone with a headshot booked.

Questions

The ones worth asking.

Is this the same as a V-line mask or chin strap?

Same category of product, yes. It's sold under a lot of names — V-line lifting mask, face slimming strap, chin strap, face toning belt.

What's different here is what we say it does. Most listings in this category promise a permanent V-shaped face in twenty days. There's no evidence for that. Ours is a depuffing strap, the effect is temporary, and we say so before you buy.

Isn't this just a scam that does nothing?

It's not nothing. Pressure on tissue moves fluid, and less fluid means a cleaner jawline. That's real and you'll see it in the mirror.

What isn't real is the permanent version. We don't sell that.

Why is this $29.99 when there are $12 versions online?

Same category of object, and we're not going to pretend otherwise.

You're paying for three things. A strap that survives washing without going slack. Thirty nights with no return required. And a company that told you the effect was temporary before you bought, not after.

If none of that matters to you, buy the $12 one. Seriously.

How long does the depuffing last?

Usually one to three hours after you take it off.

It varies with how much fluid you were holding, how long you wore it, how much salt you had, and where you are in your cycle.

When exactly should I put it on?

Twenty minutes before you leave. Not the night before.

Timing is most of it, and it's the single thing people get wrong. There's a timer near the top of this page for exactly that reason.

Will it fit me, and how tight should it be?

It fits most adults up to roughly a 23-inch head circumference. Measure around your hairline if you're unsure.

Snug enough to feel steady pressure, loose enough to slide a finger under it at your ear. If it's leaving deep marks or giving you a headache, it's too tight — and tighter doesn't work better.

Stretch it a few times before the first wear. Straight out of the pouch it's at its firmest, and most of the "too tight" reaction comes from skipping that step.

Can I sleep in it?

We'd rather you didn't, and here's why rather than just no. People who wear these overnight commonly report waking with jaw soreness and a dull headache. Pressure that feels fine for twenty minutes stops feeling fine after eight.

If you clench or grind your teeth, or you have TMJ, skip overnight wear entirely.

Can I talk in it? Will it stay put?

Talk, yes — easily. Eat, no. Your mouth won't open far enough for more than a sip through a straw.

If it shifts, it's the hair. Put it up in a bun and sit it between the top strap and the back panel. That anchors the whole thing.

Will it leave marks before photos?

Not at twenty minutes with a proper fit.

Marks come from wearing it too tight, or wearing it for hours. Worn that long, the reinforced seams can leave faint lines that take a while to fade.

Can I wear it out of the house?

No, and we'd be lying if we said otherwise. It goes across your whole lower face.

It's for the twenty private minutes — bathroom, back seat, hotel room, parking lot. It packs flat so those twenty minutes can happen anywhere.

What about shipping and returns?

Shipping is free on every order, no minimum. Orders leave within one business day and typically arrive 2–5 business days after that, from inside the US. No customs, no three-week wait.

If you don't like it, reply to any email from us within thirty nights and we'll refund you. No return, no restocking fee, no photos required. Keep the strap.

I just had a procedure. Can I use this?

Wear what your surgeon told you to wear, on their schedule. Post-operative compression is a clinical thing with a clinical protocol, and we're not that. Ask them before you swap in anything, including ours.

Is it for men too? And how do I clean it?

Yes — same strap, same fit range, and it comes in Ink for exactly that reason.

Hand wash cool with mild soap, air dry flat. No machine, no dryer. It holds its elasticity through repeated washing, which is the difference between a strap that lasts years and one that goes slack in three weeks.
